SAG Awards 2012 winners!

The SAG Awards, as we have noted, often have a curious way of letting us know what the Oscars are going to deliver. So when the Screen Actors Guild doled out its golden statuettes on Sunday night (January 29), we couldn't help but feel there were more than a few hints at how the Academy Awards might shake out in a few weeks.

What are we to make of the upset SAG win for "The Help" in outstanding cast in a movie, for instance? Where does this leave "The Artist," which had been looking increasingly, inevitably like the big champ come Oscar night, yet only won outstanding male performance (Jean Dujardin) at the SAGs?

Things were more predictable on the TV side of things. In 2012, for the second year in a row, "Modern Family" (Outstanding Cast in a Comedy) and "Boardwalk Empire" (Outstanding Cast in a Drama and a Lead Actor win for Steve Buscemi) had strong showings. Check out the full list of winners:

Demi Moore Is awesome and so strong...!

Demi Moore is apparently "doing great" according to her showbiz friend, Patty Jenkins.

The director, who worked with the 49-year old star on US mini series Five, has claimed Moore is recovering well after being hospitalised last week.Speaking at the Director's Guild Awards, Jenkins told E! Online: "I just saw her and she's doing great. I think she's doing much better than it's made out to be."Demi is awesome and so strong. I also hate when people make it a bigger drama than what is going on. She's great."Over the weekend, TMZ released an audio recording of the 911 call made after Demi was said to have collapsed at her Beverly Hills home on Monday (23rd January) - where her pal can be heard telling the emergency services that Moore was "semi conscious and barely breathing."

She went on to say: "She's smoked something. It's not marijuana but it's similar to incense and she's been having convulsions of some sort... She's burning up. She smoked something."She's been having some issues lately with some other stuff. I don't know what she's been taking... I don't know, there's been some stuff recently that we're all just finding out."By the end of the call the friend tells the operator that Demi is "much calmer" and "breathing fine".

Moore's soon-to-be-ex hubby Ashton Kutcher is reportedly 'deeply concerned' by her hospitalisation, with a source telling People magazine: "He still cares about her and wants the best for her. But their marriage is ending and they are both moving on with their lives."

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony About to Reunite?

OK! magazine claims Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are “on the cusp of a romantic reunion!”The two split in July last year after seven years together, claiming that they had grown apart. Both have since gone on to date other people, with Jennifer enjoying a relationship with dancer Casper Smart and Marc recently hooking up with model Shannon De Lima. 

However, sources say they are both jealous of each other's relationships and have realised that they are meant to be together. An insider told OK! magazine that marc "still believes that Jen is his soul mate," and that their twins, Max and Emme, "should be the glue that holds them together."LOPEZ and ANTHONY are both now in relationships, but for the sake of their kids and their sanity, keep it on good terms.

During the press conference for the new talent show (yes, together), JENNY said their relationship is “very Sonny & Cher after the divorce.”MARC agreed stating, “Marriage is one chapter, kids are another.”

Wearing tight fitting leather trousers, high-heeled boots and a red top, the curvaceous singer tossed her hair and shimmied her hips.

Michelle Williams is on top of the world tonight after nabbing the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical for her portrayal of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe in My Week with Marilyn.

"Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for putting in my hand the same award that Marilyn Monroe herself won over 50 years ago," Williams said as she accepted the award.

Meryl Streep won for Best Actress in a Drama for her dead-on portrayal of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, swearing up a storm during her speech because she left her reading glasses at her seat.

George Clooney was a shoo-in for Best Actor in a Drama for The Descendants and the decision did not disappoint. He used his precious moments on stage to razz buddy Brad Pitt and joke about Michael Fassbender's penis size. Hopefully if (when?) he wins the Oscar later this year, we'll get more of the same.

Golden Globes weekend certainly got a nice jump start last night with a party that included guests like Demi Moore and...Ashton Kutcher!

They were both spotted at CAA and Grey Goose vodka's annual CAA Foundation soiree at Soho House in West Hollywood.

So how are things between the two?

They certainly didn't show any love last night.

A source reports that they were seen most of the evening at opposite ends of the bash. At one point, the Two and a Half Men star was seen walking by Moore, but they didn't acknowledge one another.

Moore chatted a bunch with just-announced Globes presenter Madonna, who was holding court in the members-only club's garden area. The Material Mom, whose ex Sean Penn was also there, made quite the fashion statement in a red dress with matching leather gloves.

Moore definitely didn't look as downtrodden as she did during the first days of the breakup. She was all smiles and showed off her body in a slinky, sleeveless silver dress.

Elsewhere, Shame star Michael Fassbender chatted with Bradley Cooper and Jason Statham and his Transformers girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

A very blond Cameron Diaz walked into the bash on the arm of her Knight and Day costar, Tom Cruise. Once inside, Diaz hung out—and danced!—with her sometimes-rumored-to-be main man, Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Rounding out the guest list were Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Eva Mendes, Robert De Niro, Kate Hudson, Robert Downey Jr., Steven Tyler, Gerard Butler, Helen Mirren, Salma Hayek, Alexander Skarsgård, Lisa Kudrow, Julianne Moore, Nick Nolte, Benicio Del Toro, Jamie Foxx and Jason Bateman.

Also last night, Seth Rogen, Ty Burrell, Paul Rudd, Sophia Bush and Jack Black were at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles for the Hilarity for Charity event benefiting the Alzheimer's Association. Bruno Mars sang a parody of Céline Dion's Titanic hit, "My Heart Will Go On." DJ Pauly D also provided tunes throughout the show.

Jennifer Lopez and ex Marc Anthonyattend Univision’s TCA panel at The Langham Huntington on Saturday (January 14) in Pasadena, Calif.

The 42-year-old entertainer and Marcspoke with reporters about their new reality series, ¡Q’Viva! The Chosen, which follows the former couple jetting around Latin America to discover new talent.

“It was like any time that we work together. We have a great time working together,” J. Lo said, according to the Associated Press.

FYI: Jennifer paired her royal blue leather Reem Acra dress with Brian Atwood heels and H. Stern jewelry.

Anthony reached down to offer his hand and help Lopez climb three stairs to the stage, and later admired her bling. They sat side by side on director's chairs.They answered only two questions at a news conference. Before leaving, Lopez told a reporter that "we have a great time working together."

Even today they couldn't resist mugging for the cameras with their arms around one another. 

He also reached down to chivalrously to offer her his hand to climb three stairs onto the stage, where they sat side by side in director's chairs. 

He later admired the many glittering rings on her fingers. 

They also looked more than friendly in the trailer for their new Univision series, which explores discovering the world's most talented Latin American performers.

No apparent hard feelings though -- as they even held hands and hugged for promotional photos. It's not just politics that makes strange bedfellows.

Halle Berry Is Engaged!

Martinez, 46, proposed to Berry, 45, over the holidays, a source confirms to Us Weekly

According to Us Weekly, who initially reported the happy news, Berry's French fella popped the question over the holidays, with a rep for jewelry designer Gurhan telling People that Oliver proposed with a diamond-and-emerald engagement ring.

The couple met while making the 2010 film Dark Tide and began dating shortly thereafter.

Of course, this won't be Berry's first time walking down the aisle. She was previously married to former Atlanta Braves player David Justice and, later, singer Eric Benét.

The 45-year-old actress also has a daughter, 3-year-old Nahla, from her nearly five-year relationship with model Gabriel Aubry.

 

Beyonce's baby girl born!

Blue Ivy Carter is the name of the baby girl that pop star Beyoncé, 30, and her music mogul husband Jay-Z welcomed into the world Saturday night, according to E! The singer gave birth at Lenox Hill Hospital on Manhattan's upper East Side. A hospital employee told the New York Daily News that the couple rented out the hospital's entire fourth floor for $1.3 million.



Beyonce Knowles' sister has described her newborn baby as the "the most beautiful girl in the world".

The 'Halo' hitmaker gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter - her first child with rapper husband Jay-Z - at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York on Saturday and proud aunt Solange took to Twitter on Sunday to reveal her delight.

She tweeted: "The most beautiful girl in the world."

After initial confusion over the tot's name, with initial reports claiming it was Ivy Blue, Gwyneth Paltrow confirmed the correct moniker on the micro-blogging site.

The actress - who along with her husband Chris Martin is close friends with Jay-Z and Beyonce - wrote: "Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already.

Shakira & Miley Cyrus Record Duet for Charity!

The two international pop sensations Shakira and Miley Cyrushave reportedly teamed up to record a song titled Love and Rock. They will raise funds for children with heart ailments. 
 
It has even been confirmed thatLove and Rock will not be used by any of the two, Shakira or Miley Cyrus, in their upcoming or current music albums. The song is being recorded for solely serving the charity propose and not commercial ones! The song will be revealed on the Valentines’ Day.Interestingly, this will be Miley Cyrus’s latest music release since 2010! Though her Gypsy tour did gather headlines last year, after ‘Can’t be tamed’, not much about Miley Cyrus has been heard in terms of her music!  
Anyhow, Miley and Shakira teaming up for charity does not come as much of a surprise, to be honest! After all, both the talented divas are known for their charitable works! While Shakira is the founder of Barefoot Foundation, which helps the poor and impoverished children, Miley Cyrus’s support for the Starkey Hearing Foundation was notable in 2011! Not only this, both the divas even feature on the DoSomething.org’s Top 20 Celebs Gone Good 2011 list! 

Are Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis heading for a split?

There are rumours that Johnny Depp has caught that nasty split bug that's going around Hollywood these days.

According to RadarOnline.com, the Pirates of the Caribbean star's relationship with his long term girlfriend and baby-mama Vanessa Paradis is on the rocks.

"Johnny isn't handling anything well right now," a source tells Radar. "People around him are worried about how Johnny is doing because he and Vanessa seem so fractured right now. Their relationship is heading toward the end."

The 48-year-old Depp and 39-year-old singer have been together since 1998 and have two children, Lily-Rose Melody and John Christopher "Jack".

"Johnny has started reaching out to lawyers, probably to quietly discuss how to get out of the relationship. They're not married but they've been together for years and have kids together so it isn't as easy as just breaking up," the source says. "Johhny is so talented at acting, but he doesn't seem able to hide how badly things are going right now."

Depp famously changed his "Winona Forever" tattoo to "Wino Forever" after his breakup with then fiancée Winona Ryder. Lucky for The Rum Dairy star, he learned his lesson and Paradis is only represented in tattoo form as one of three hearts on his upper left arm.

The actor will next appear in the film adaptation of his late-80s TV show,21 Jump Street, reprising the role of Officer Tom Hanson.

French first lady accused of receiving public money‎!

French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s wife, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, has denied accusations that 3.5 million euros of public cash has been handed out to a charitable foundation she runs and to a close friend’s companies without proper accountability.
Marianne news weekly reported that the Geneva-based Global Fund paid 3.5 million dollars into Bruni's foundation 'towards the philanthropical activities of Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and several agencies belonging to one of her close friends.'

The magazine said the payments were carried out 'with disregard for normal procedures.'Bruni-Sarkozy, who is a Global Fund ambassador, denied the allegations in a statement on her foundation's website.'The insinuation that funds were raised through public partners is entirely unfounded,' she said.'No public money was ever received by the foundation,' she insisted.The Global Fund - the world's largest financier of programmes to fight AIDS, which is mainly funded by Western governments - said it had not 'paid a centime to Carla Bruni-Sarkozy's foundation.'The Marianne article was 'inexact and misleading,' the fund was quoted by French media as saying in a statement.The fund explained it had spent 2.8 million dollars on a campaign in 2010 against mother-to-child transmission of the HIV virus, which Bruni-Sarkozy had supported.Part of the budget had been used to cover Bruni-Sarkozy's travel costs, when she was travelling for the fund, and towards a page on her foundation's website that was dedicated to the Global Fund.

An independent audit of the campaign had found that 'all the Global Fund's rule had been respected,' the statement said.Bruni-Sarkozy, a folk singer and former supermodel, established her foundation in 2009 to combat adult illiteracy and support access to education and culture. She also regularly speaks about HIV/AIDS.Since 2009, the foundation has raised nearly 8 million euros (10.2 million dollars), of which half had been spent on 'aid on the ground,' her statement said.

Drew Barrymore engaged to Will Kopelman!

The 36 year-old Hollywood actress and Kopelman have been romantically linked since February last year. 

Drew's publicist apparently confirmed the news to People magazine as well as issuing a photo of the loved-up pair showing Drew flashing her new rock.

The couple are said to have got engaged in Sun Valley, Idaho, during a romantic Christmas break, according to the US gossip magazine. 

It is thought art consultant Kopelman went down on bended knee with a colourless radiant-cut diamond ring by Graff, weighing just under 4 carats. 

Though the pair have never confirmed their relationship, they have been spotted out looking cosy together numerous times, leading to speculation they were more than good friends.

They apparently dated briefly in 2010 but split as their relationship wasn't working before reuniting the following year.

Drew will be hoping this is a case of third time lucky with Will, who is the son of former CEO of Chanel Arie Kopelman, as she already has two failed marriages under her belt. 

The E,T. child star married bar owner Jeremy Thomas in 1994 but filed for divorce just two months later. 

Another short marriage came when she tied the knot to comedian Tom Green in 2001, but the marriage failed to go the distance and ended just five months later when Green filed for divorce. 

Drew was also engaged twice before – to Leland Hayward when she was 16 and the following year to musician Jamie Walters. Neither engagements ended in marriage.
